| Foreclosures & Fraud |

|
It seems like today’s headlines are all about the Foreclosures that have hit our nation. It’s an unfortunate truth, but this is what happens when greed hits every level of the food chain. I was a mortgage broker for several years and I saw how tempting and easy it was to submit a fraudulent loan package to ensure its approval. What we have seen is that no longer was it just the mortgage broker being the bad guy, but it ran up and down the ladder. Our contributors, including myself, touch on this month’s theme of Foreclosures and Fraud. This really is white-collar crime at its best.
Just because no one gets hurt physically, do not think this is not a crime. A lot of people get hurt, and you can see how badly these crimes have hurt thousands and thousands of families.
I’d like to introduce Nancy Spivey this month as our “RESM Contributor of the Month” and one of our newest contributors at that. She’s got a couple of great articles that you’ll truly enjoy.
