Is it smart to work with family? I’ve been working with family for over 12 years. I believe it’s all what you make of it. My first go around I had a family member who was the boss who always complained about working with family, so much so I ended up leaving the business. My second time around has been with my wife, Sharon and it has been a wonderful experience. It has its ups and downs as with any other staff member or partner, but I believe the key to its success is everyone understanding what their position is and job-duties are, just like you would with any non-family member.
