Are you one of those folks who knows how to turn on the computer and your technological genius stops there? Do you even know what a “smart” phone is?

I don’t carry a smart phone and until recently never visited Facebook, thought Twitter was for twits and had only 24 contacts in Linkedin after having set up a profile over two years ago. Today, I’m lucky if I know many more social media sites other than those; however, my eyes have been opened having recently attended a social media lecture.

I was amazed to learn the outrageous statistics of the demographics and population that spend a vast amount of time online and especially in social media sites.

I pride myself on being “cutting edge” in all I do…so I was sadly disappointed in myself to learn that social media is not just for hanging out online with your friends, but for helping your business grow as well.
